JEPLAN, INC. (CEO & Co-Founder：Masaki Takao: “JEPLAN”) and Rebound Limited (General Manager：Maryam Al Mansoori: “Rebound”), a company based in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”), which is engaged in the global development of the recycled plastics trading market, entered into a Commercial Agreement (the “Agreement”) on June 13, 2023, with aim of helping to solve the global problem of plastic waste.

Pursuant to the Agreement, JEPLAN and Rebound will engage in a joint project to create an ecosystem facilitating JEPLAN’s global expansion of its PET chemical recycling business in the UAE.

The execution of the Agreement was announced during the Japan-UAE Business Forum held in Abu Dhabi on July 17, 2023, in the presence of Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Previously, on June 9, 2023, JEPLAN announced its entry into a Letter of Intent with Rebound (see press release), the terms of which were incorporated in the Agreement.
