Swiss sports brand "On" has been supporting the Hokkaido Marathon as an official wear partner since 2022 by providing original T-shirts to participants. This year's participation prize T-shirts will be designed with the brand message "This heat is the energy to run" as the theme. and the back design was created by Swiss graphic designer Sebastian Fehr . The message is expressed in a timeless design that can be used not only in the running scene but also in lifestyle and worn for a long time by the runners who provided it.

In addition, since the body of the T-shirt is made of recycled polyester resin, which is chemically recycled from some of the unwanted running clothes collected from last year's runners using JEPLAN's proprietary technology, the Circular Eco System Traceability System "Open HIVE by BRING," a circular eco-system traceability system, has been adopted, allowing visitors to read the QR code attached to the neck of the T-shirt to see where the clothing used as the raw material for the participation award T-shirt was collected, recycled, and manufactured. Once again this year, sportswear collection points will be set up during the event to collect sportswear not only from runners but also from visitors to the booth, and the front of the T-shirt will read "THIS T-SHIRT IS MADE TO BE RECYCLED. LIKE A GOOD RUN POWERS THE NEXT GREAT RUN, (This t-shirt was made to be recycled. (A good run will help the next great run)" is printed on the T-shirt, and we plan to continue our efforts to recycle clothing resources with the cooperation of runners and visitors for the next year.

The JEPLAN Group will continue to work together with domestic and overseas partners to realize its vision of BRINGing everyone into circular economy, and the entire group will work together to drive the circular economy.

About the "Hokkaido Marathon 2024" Participation Prize Original T-shirts

About the design

The Hokkaido Marathon, held in mid-summer, is a "hot" full marathon, even though the weather is relatively cool. Approximately 20,000 runners gather not only from within Hokkaido but also from all over Japan for this event. Mr. Fehr's design was inspired by the enthusiasm of the runners who take on the challenge of this severe environment, and the "hot" feelings in their hearts, which become the energy of the runners who never give up and run through to the end. The message "FEEL THE HEAT" is placed in the center of this powerful visual, which expresses how several runners, filled with such enthusiasm and vitality, combine to complete the distance of "42.195km" at their own pace and rhythm.

Furthermore, it is On's hope that by wearing this T-shirt after the competition, people will remember their "passionate" feelings and be proud of themselves for having taken on the challenge.
